Hi there. We're Shelley & Sam.

We're small business owners too. We get it. There's certain challenges we face while working independently or remotely.

As a former winemaker and an IT guru who has commuted to work in the city for the past 20 years, we love thinking outside the box & providing solutions. We believe that we can do good, nay great things, and be productive in our work from anywhere.

And that's how Workspace Barossa was born in July 2019.

Here we strive to provide a professional, regional office & meeting space - combined with supportive business services. Our community is a welcoming space of focus & support for those in business for themselves, as satellite offices, regional teams & entrepreneurs.

Located in the iconic Shrapel building in the main street of Tanunda, overlooking the Rotunda, you won't find a more picturesque place to work! Our building is secured by electronic locks, accessible via your mobile phone, along with CCTV security cameras to provide a secure place to work.

We offer services from hot desking, permanent desks, offices, meeting rooms, casual meeting spaces, workshop room, event hosting, and even a sound-deadened media room for your recording needs.

Our iconic Schrapel building in Tanunda - our space was previously known as the Barossa Music Centre.

Schrapel and Sons established their store in 1884, with this building completed around 1910.
For decades, their emporium supplied everything from haberdashery and glassware to tractors and electrical supplies. But more importantly, it provided a meeting place for the community to come together. The family purchased land from the SA government in 1845. They began as general importers of products but ended up being electrical suppliers and electricians. They sold everything from tractors, shoes and furniture to radios (in the 1920s), glassware and drapery etc. They provided the first electricity for Tanunda District Council in 1920. By the 1950s they were primarily a hardware store.
